Snowshoeing for Seniors

Fresh Air, Exercise, Oh What Fun! Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM

  • 35 Canadian dollars
  • Concession Road 10

Service Description

Winter can be a great time to get outdoors, snowshoe along groomed trails and be in nature. You'll not only be getting fresh air but an incredible workout as well. Snowshoeing helps our cardiovascular system, builds endurance, strengthens balance and agility and finally improves your sense of well-being by connecting with nature. Join Bob Bowles as he leads us in a fun-filled morning of learning about traditional snowshoes, how to snowshoe if you are a beginner and a snowshoe walk in nature. We will also observe mammal signs, their tracks, browse and scat and anything else we may see on the snowshoe walk. Pack a lunch and we'll return to enjoy hot chocolate around the campfire, share stories and maybe even have a singalong. Snowshoes will be provided for those who do not have their own. Please email to confirm your spot. Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM.
